   A true Haiku should make reference to the seasons in some manner. By using a relevant color like green for spring, or an animal like butterfly for summer, or mentioning cold for winter.

   try this:

   Frigid keys haunt eyes

   cranes peck uselessly for comma

   Blog taunts my hours

   Frigid hints at winter, Cranes are migratory and return in the spring to mate, and are also the metaphor for your fingers, taunts rhymes with haunts and could indicate the fall, and also taunting the hours could be a metaphor for the days getting shorter, also in the fall.

   I simply went by my 6th grade English teacher’s lesson (many many years ago) where the rules were only regarding syllables. Shame on her for not giving us all the rules
