I don’t know about you, but I am so excited by the new “My Maps” over at maps.google.com! Essentially, they let the every day user (like me!) create their own instant mashup without having to know a lick of programming.

I wanted to do a maps mashup for a project a few months ago until I realized I was too lazy to learn how to do it. Then I found a few Dot Coms that let you use their website to create maps easily. So I ended up using one of those as my “middle man” to google maps.

Now I think I’ll be moving my project directly to Google as a private map. Should be fun! I can’t wait to see what improvements they come up with as time goes on too.
